8.6.2012 Trevor and went back to our favourite cafe for breakfast this time. We had the best bacon and egg sandwiches but I forgot to get a photo of them before eating them so we will have to have them again so I can get a pic! But in the meantime here is a pic of the hot chocolate :)

7.6.2012 It's Tiana's 6th birthday and Nell made this beautiful birthday cake.

6.6.2012 Trevor has finally talked me into going to Vietnam next year for a bike riding holiday. The group will be doing up to 70 kms a day. So I hopped on his old bike to see how far I could go. First day I made about a kilometer! I only have to add 69 more a day and I'll be right! Part of it was uphill though. Trevor's bike isn't suitable for me as I can't safely touch the ground when on it; so we took this bike for a test run. The pretty pink colour did not put Trevor off giving it a run.

2.6.2012 Trev and I went to our favourite cafe for lunch. We both chose the home made curry pie which was lovely.

As I was passing a book store a title jumped out at me. This reminded me so much of Leena that I just had to buy it. Unfortunately it is part of a series and I really need to read the earlier ones first. Every time I look at the cover I smile though.

On Easter Sunday Tiana had Easter egg hunts nearly all day. Some times we hid them and she looked for them and sometimes she hid them for us to find.This Easter egg was being looked after by the rabbit the Mem knitted about 30 years ago.

Monday 20.2.12

The Nut at Stanley. At the base of The Nut at the wharf there is a place that sells very nice fish and chips - expensive but good.
Marrawah beach, we had dinner at the Marrawah Tavern, Trev had a steak with a plum/chilli sauce, the sauce was lovely on my chips too, I had the fisherman's basket which even had fresh prawns in it.

I picked Tiana up from school and we did some cooking and she made this picture using gold and silver glitter glue and cloth letters.
Finally the sweet corn is ready is eating - straight off the stem stripped of its husks and eaten raw - absolutely delicious.

We had friends around for dinner, BBQ of course, the cork from the port broke off so Trev had to strain it.

I got sick of mopping all the tiles all the time, 2 passageways, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, ensuite, laundry; so I went out and bought a good quality steam mop - much easier now.

I first saw this type of page done by Vicki and knew that I had to do one too. It took me all day and I still didn't finish it. I have now and it looks great but a lot of work!

10.2.12 School

Tiana started school this week, today was the first time that I picked her up from school, she came flying at me and gave me the biggest cuddle: it was great :). She says she is loving school so far.

8.2.12 shoe

The cat from next door often frequents our place, and digs up any seeds that I've planted. Trev had taken off his shoes in the lounge room and left them there so I picked up one of his shoes, opened the back door and threw the shoe at the cat. The show missed the cat by quite a bit but the look on Trev's face was priceless. Now he says that he is getting me a super soaker for my birthday so that I can get the cat with that instead!

5.2.12 Yukka's

These yukka's annoy me, they sucker and grow sprout from the stems so quickly and the leaves are quite pointy. One of the fellows from work wants them though and will take them next month - in the meantime i needed to prune all the baby yukka's away. I want to change this small side garden into roses and undercovers.

We had a storm at work today. I don't know if the water tanks were full or if it was just raining that hard that the gutters could not cope but water was overflowing everywhere.

At work we are getting a new computerised documentation system called "Manad". Today was the first training day for the trainers but as we still have not got the program up loaded onto our work computers we cannot practice yet. Frustrating cause I want to play with it.
