28.1.12 family bbq

Although it was a bit hot for comfort we had a great time at the family BBQ at Ria's. I had a ball taking photos of the triplets, just don't ask me which one is which.

27.1.12 Beach

Tiana, Judee and I went to the beach today and had a fantastic time.

26.1.12 Apple

An apple fell from the tree today, no it didn't give me any great ideas about gravity but it was delicious!

25.1.12 ready for Australia day

The activity people at work put together this great display for Australia Day tomorrow. It had everything from galah's and koala's in the wattle and gum branches to stock whips and saddles.

21.1.12 Peanut

I was shopping at the supermarket today and they had peanut plants for sale - I've never known anyone to grow peanuts so had to give it a try.

FINALLY got my first ripe tomato and some rotten bird beat me to it!!!!!!!

Trev and I looked at cars again today. I took one for a test drive. Later I had to walk down to pick my car up from the mechanics. Not a hardship as for most of the 20 minute walk there is a pathway along side this creek.

Decided to get the bike out and go for a ride today. Ok so it was only round the block but half of it was up hill!

Funny that I look at cars on Saturday and on Wednesday my car wont start! I'd driven to work just fine but when I tried to go home the battery was totally dead. Turned out to be a broken battery lead. Yes definitely time for a new car.

14.1.12 Car yard

Time to buy a new car, mine is 10 years old and starting to make a few noises that it shouldn't be making.

10.1.12 Garlic bulb

Ok so I still don't have a red tomato but by jingo I have the largest garlic bulb you have ever seen. Yes that is a faily big strawberry next to it.

Still thinking about what to do with the front garden. The narrow garden at the side is easy - remove all the yacca's and replace with roses with some sort of ground cover underneath; probably white flowered but maybe multicoloured ground covers. With the main garden I am going to plant roses along the front of the house but still considering if to replace the lawn with low growing flowering natives. I will be planting grevellias and banksias to hang over the embankment as well as planting bulbs in the top garden.

Walking home from work 9.1.12

Part of the way home is pathed and part of the way isn't. As you can see there really isn't anywhere safe to walk - must contact the council and see if they have any plans to pave all the way to the hospital.

6.1.2012

Tiana asked me to play with the building blocks with her but every single block that I put on was in the wrong place and she took all of mine off the board. In case you can't see it this is a picture of sky, grass, trees, house, sun and daddy as a firefighter and daddy as a police officer. Funny that the 2 people in the set happen to look like a firefighter and police officer!

Tomatoes

Each day I go and check to see if any of my tomatoes have any hint of colour in them yet and each day I am disappointed :( I have plenty of tomato plants and there are lots and lots of tomatoes but every one of them is green.
